Treatment Aftercare

MASSAGE

Drink Water
During a massage, built-up toxins are released. That’s great, but they need to be expelled from your body. Your kidneys do the brilliant job of eliminating toxins from your system and they need water to work and push these free radicals out.

Stay Relaxed
One of the best ways to capitalise on the post-massage wonderful feeling is to actively choose to stay relaxed. Don’t rush back out into normal life. Instead, stumble into bed or to the couch for a little while. We also really recommend relaxing the mind as well as the body. Put on some peaceful music, meditate, or simply read a good book. Another simple trick is some basic deep breathing. You’ll feel centred and calm.

Avoid alcohol or caffeine
Both are dehydrating and won’t help your body eliminate the toxins that are on the move thanks to the massage.

BODY POLISH & BACIAL

Leave your skin free
Do not try to do anything more on your skin just after body polishing. Let your skin absorb all the benefits of the treatment to give its complete effect. Chemicals can affect your skin easily after the exfoliation.

Stay out of the sun

Your skin is exfoliated and this will make your skin more prone to get sun burnt. The UV rays are strong enough to ruin your skin. It is very important to avoid being in direct sunlight just after undergoing a body polishing treatment.

Avoid soap
It is not recommended to use hard soaps after doing a body polishing. This will tend to make your skin dry which will take away the moistening effect of the body polishing.

Do not use strong cosmetics
Just leave your skin free to breathe after having a body polishing. Applying strong cosmetics may result in unwanted side-effects due to the chemicals present in them.

FACIAL

  • Avoid wearing make-up for at least six hours after a facial treatment.

  • Always cleanse, tone and moisturise your face. To prevent loss of moisture, protect the skin from make-up and to keep the skin soft and supple.

  • Always remove all traces of make-up at the end of the day.

  • Do not undertake any other facial skincare treatments within 48 hours of having a facial.

  • Avoid sunbathing for up to 12 hours.

PEDICURE

  • Avoid wearing any tightly fitted footwear after you’ve got your pedicure treatment done. Try to wear open-toe shoes if you need to go anywhere

  • If you wear socks indoors or outdoors, try to change them as often as possible to keep your toes clean. It is best advised to wear cotton socks.

  • Dry your feet thoroughly after washing them or taking a shower.

  • Make sure to take time to apply some foot cream once you have finished bathing. This will keep your feet and toes hydrated and moisturised.

  • Massage the cuticles on your toes with cuticle cream or oil to keep your cuticles feeling soft.

  • Try to use an acetone-free nail varnish remover since this product is less harmful to the nail.
